Hi, I’m Jess
I’m a therapist and counsellor working with people navigating some of the harder, messier parts of being human
I’m here for the things that are difficult to say out loud, and sometimes difficult to make sense of at all. Perhaps we might work well together.
If you’re not sure where to start, that’s okay.
Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit can be daunting. You’re allowed to come as you are, whether that’s overwhelmed, unsure, or just needing somewhere to talk things through.
What it’s like to work with me
I’m an integrative therapist, which means I don’t follow a single method or apply the same approach to everyone. I draw on different ways of working depending on what you actually need, and that shifts over time - sometimes within a single session.
Sessions are one-to-one, online, and built around what you bring. I work at your pace, with no script and no agenda beyond understanding what’s actually going on for you.
I bring empathy, honesty, curiosity and humour. What I won’t do is shy away from the difficult stuff when it comes up, or let us stay on the surface when something more important is waiting underneath.
We might work well together if…
You want a therapist who remembers the details - it makes you feel seen and heard
You’re interested in figuring out the ‘why’, and want someone curious who’ll unravel it with you
You’re tired of being the one holding it together and want somewhere you don’t have to, free of judgement
You need someone who’ll tell you what they notice, not just nod along
You need trust to come first - and you know that sometimes takes time to build
You know you’re self-reflective and ready to do the work - you just want someone who really cares alongside you
I work in an integrative, person-centred way, which means our sessions are shaped around you, not a fixed structure or textbook example.
I am a fully qualified and insured therapist
I'm a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), which means I practise within a detailed ethical framework.
You can verify my BACP membership here, or find my profile on the Professional Counselling Directory.

My work is underpinned by trauma-informed principles. Before moving into private practice, I trained within New Pathways (the largest rape, sexual assault, and sexual violence support provider in Wales). I also volunteered at a low-cost counselling service supporting underserved rural and low-income communities.
What else do I need to know about you?
Here, you can say things half-formed - the words don’t have to be perfect. We’ll follow what feels important, not a fixed plan, which means some sessions will feel focussed and others more open.
Sometimes I’ll get things wrong - that’s the nature of two human beings working together! I’m not perfect, and I’ll never claim to be. I hope you’ll feel able to let me know when I miss the mark.
Outside of work, I spend a great deal of time covered in cat hair. When I’m not being extorted for Dreamies, I enjoy all sorts of crafts, playing board games, and eating more ice cream than is strictly sensible.
Let’s talk…
I believe that talking really helps. If you are interested in counselling and psychotherapy, or you just have some questions, please get in touch for a free, no-obligation chat.
In our introductory call, we’ll discuss what brings you to counselling, how I work and what your hopes are. We’ll also have time to answer any question you may have.
You don’t have to know exactly what to say, we’ll figure it out together.
